Boracay
also known as Bora
It's an island in the province of Aklan, south of Manila. The flight would take about 35-45min. This time we took SeaAir (last time was Asian Spirit if I remember correctly). Then a 10min boat transfer then a van ride to your hotel.
The whole beach front is lined up with resorts, hotels and restaurants. Most hotels offer airfare+hotel packages. Boracay Regency is a good one (http://boracayregency.com/). The beach is divided into 3 stations. Station 1,2 & 3. You can walk up and down the beach front.
Things you can do:
1. Soak up the sun
2. Eat and drink
3. Massage
4. Get your hair braided
5. Get a henna tattoo (be careful not to stain your hotel sheets or else they'll charge you haha!)
6. Soak up more sun
7. Eat and drink some more
8. Drop by D'mall (station 2) where you can buy souvenirs etc
9. Water activities (jet ski, parasailing, banana boat, island hopping, snorkeling, diving (there are diving stores))
10. Watch people while soaking up the sun.
Don't worry if you're a foreigner, people speak English. (haha)
My trip 2 weeks ago made me feel like a foreigner (because of soo many tourists) and I'm the Filipino!
There are money changers, atm machines, internet cafes too.
And if you want to see the island you can take a tricycle. Or if you want to go to a different station and you're too lazy to walk.
There's also a Church at the back of the beachfront. Walking distance. (for those that are religious and are wondering whether they can still attend mass while on vacation)
Oh and if you go during the summer months (Mar-Apr) There'll be parties happening all around.
Okay enough words here are some pictures:
